John Ford

John Ford works to support individuals and organizations to approach conflict with greater clarity. In addition to serving as managing editor for Mediate.com since 2000, John is the immediate past president of the Association for Dispute Resolution of Northern California. He continues to mediate workplace and healthcare disputes, teach at JFK University, and provide training.

Conflict Management
John Ford directs the Organizational Conflict Management Certificate Program at JFK University. Housed in the organizational psychology department, the certificate offers MA students a practitioner focused program that blends cutting edge ideas from the organizational conflict management field with adaptive systems theory. As a conflict management consultant, he supports individuals and organizations in their response to the challenge of conflict, through a variety of interventions, including training, coaching, in-house mediation, facilitation, and the implementation of conflict management systems. He is the managing editor of Mediate.com, and his articles on organizational conflict management have been published internationally. John has been a member or SPIDR/ACR since 1998 and has served on the Leadership Team of the Organizational Conflict Management Section. He is the immediate past President of the Association for Dispute Resolution of Northern California.
